Privacy Policy

What stays private

• Journal — trades, notes, and emotion logs are visible only to you unless you attach a snippet to a Circle weekly review.
• Circles — invite-only groups of 3–8. Reviews are not a public feed.
• Email — never shown on your public profile.

What we collect

Account info (email, name), profile details you add, trade ideas and comments you post, Circle memberships, and normal server logs needed to stop abuse. Public ideas (thesis, stop, invalidation, outcome) are meant to be seen by other members.

How we use it

We use this data to run BuyNdSell, stop abuse, send service emails (verification, password reset), and optional product sequences (onboarding, Circle reminders, re-engagement). You can turn product emails off in Settings or via unsubscribe. We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with brokers. We do not run copy-trading.

Public graph

Unverified accounts are removed after 48 hours and never appear in public feeds. Followers can see ideas you post. They cannot see your journal.

Tools that help us run

Depending on setup, we may use: MongoDB Atlas, Vercel, Better Auth sessions, Cloudflare R2, Upstash, Inngest, Resend, and — only after you opt in — Google Analytics with IP anonymization.

Your rights

You can ask us to send or delete your account data by emailing privacy@buyndsell.app from the inbox on your account. If you live in the EU or UK, you may have more rights under GDPR. We aim to reply within 30 days.

Cookies

Needed cookies keep you signed in. Analytics cookies are off until you choose “Allow analytics.” If your browser sends Do Not Track, we treat that as a no. You can change this later in Settings.
